Too Much Medicine: the CAP Randomized Trial on PSA Screening and Prostate Cancer Mortality

The largest-ever prostate cancer screening trial was published this week in JAMA, and showed that there was no effect of a low-intensity PSA screening test on cancer mortality over 10 years.

This study has not received much coverage in major news media. According to Healthnewsreview.org, this may be because of its negative findings, as news media prefer to cover “positive” findings” of research studies.
